In 2025 Ton Merckx has once again used his creativity to create two beautiful routes of 45 and 75 kilometers. Both routes start from our familiar home base, Cycling café De Cyklist, and lead us through the picturesque nature towards Maarheeze. The break point of this tour is not just any place, but the atmospheric Drinks café/Cycling café KIKKEROP.

The History of KIKKEROP

The name FROG ON is a tribute to the former lemonade factory KIKKEROP from Etten-Leur. The owner of the café is closely linked to this history, as he is related to the founders of the factory, the Van Haperen family.

KIKKEROP was not only a family business, but also an important name in the cycling world. In the 1960s the factory sponsored two professional cyclists, Ko Tolhoek and Adri van Tilburg (1964), and was known as the main sponsor of the prominent amateur team FROG ON (1964-1967). This makes Borrelcafé/Fietscafé KIKKEROP not only a pleasant place to take a break, but also a café with a rich cycling history.

Perfectly Marked Routes

As always, Ton Merckx will ensure perfectly marked routes, so you can enjoy the trip without any worries. In addition, participants will receive an email with the GPS routes a week in advance, so that everyone can be well prepared on the road.
